His phone was continuing to ring and alert him to phone calls, voicemails, messages, and twitter notifications. But Jason was choosing to ignore them all, he didn’t want to talk to anymore, see their messages or even begin to sift through his twitter feed and the amount of mentions he was currently getting. He already knew what they were all about. It was just hours after they had announced the starters and reserves for the all-star game and his name had been left off. In fact nearly all his teammates had been left off minus Colon. And even then, with the way their schedule was going there was a large possibility he’d be pitching the Sunday before the game making him ineligible to participate.

After a late inning collapse in the game earlier in the game Jason had taken to hiding out in his hotel room not really in the mood to be around anyone as the announcement for the 2013 all-star game loomed closer. He had done all he could to prove why he deserved to be a part of the roster, hitting a home run and driving in two in the lost his team had suffered. But his best hadn’t been enough and now he was currently avoiding his phone and the sympathy texts and voicemails he was sure were filling up his screen, not to mention the thousands of fans who had angrily taken to twitter and other social media to voice their displeasure.
