The Jason Helmsley rookie baseball card has become a popular card for Athletic’s fans. Helmsley is pictured as a catcher, but made the conversion to third base at the beginning of the 2012 baseball season.
Helmsley was originally drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 2007 draft. He was traded to the A’s in a package that included Rich Harden and Chad Gaudin.

Jason Helmsley is using Lucy Greenwald music for his walk up song, this is fucking epic. I so wish I was at this game. This is seriously why I love this man. First there was the tarp catch. And now this. He's not afraid to do something out of the box and doesn't give a shit what the fans have to say about it. He does what he does and he's damn good at it. He better be an all-star this year or Oakland just might riot. He's one of the best third basemen out there who really has only been a full time third baseman for two seasons and we're damn lucky to have him playing in the green and gold.
